Reflection

I think my favorite would be Photo Story I have heard about it before but never used it. I was surprised at how easy it to use. I will use to present photos of my students throughtout the year. I will also provide opportunities for us to use as a whole class project, they can help select some photos and music to use. It will a fun way to learn.
I have been afraid of using any new technology, but this has given me an opportunity to be introduced to and use the new available to us and our students.

Tool 11 Digital Citizen

I think the best way for me to help my kinders make the right choice while using the media will be to talk to them about what they can come across when they use this media. When I teach them how to handle and care for the Ipods I will let them what could happen if the make a mistake or how to handle a situation they might run across while they are using it. I will emphasis and model the appropriate behavior and actions when I show them the media.

Tool 10 Mobile tech apps

The free apps I used was on Harcourt School Publisher science learning site. I used the interactive animal food webs like the artic, meadows, and ocean. I was neat.
My kinders could use the ipad's for vocab builder mosaics using pbworks.com/Image+Generator to get pics that start from a letter of the alphabet.

Tool 9 Jing Skpe

I am sure how I would use jing with my kinders. I could use skpe to connect a video conference with another kinder class at another school or even another city or country. Wow that sounds like a plan.

Tool 7 PhotoStory

Here is what I produced. I can use this to show mt students the pictures I take of them throughout the year. It was fun and easy.
Ok I have tried and tried to load my video, I even had help from my campus tech person to no avail.
My Photo Story has some pictures from my sons prom and music by Beethoven symphony #9 (Sherzo).

Tool 6 Wiki

I would like using this for Science, like for observations from field sites. We could make a glossary of scientific terms by using original digital photos.
In Social Students we could view a virtual tour of our school as we study "our community" using Educational Wikis.

Tool 5 Tagging

Tagging and using social network on delicious.com could be a usefil way to get news and share info. with your team. I like exploring some sites and bookmarking them. Here are 2 to share;

Tool 4

I like the use of Google doc. for getting updates from my team on our monthly calendar. It might help to persoanalize what is going on in our own classrooms. I do not like that it is a little difficult to edit, not as friendly as a word doc.
It could be helpful for classroom projects.
I am using Google reader to keep up with my favorite and helpful blogs.

Tool 3 Images

This is something useful when I need to emphasize a point to my kinders. When I say to them we are reaching to the stars I can show the plane soaring upwards.I need lots of pictures for my kiddos this helps a lot. I will use it to help my students but I don't think that they will be using Flicker Creative Commons.

sharing thoughts on community building

My thoughts on being part of a learning and sharing community is great. I think it a good way of getting help and sharing ideas and experiences with other professionals going through similiar circumstances.
